2.) Is the intended user suffering from threadworm (also know as 'pinworm') infection? YES or NO.

Typical / Common symptoms:

Visible worms in poo, similar to "white threads"

Extreme itching around the anus or vagina, particularly at night

Irritability and waking up during the night

Less common signs of worms include:

Wetting the bed

Irritated skin around the anus

3.) Do any of the following apply to the intended user? YES or NO

Is currently pregnant or breastfeeding. 

Allergic to mebendazol or any other ingredients listed in the patient leaflet. 

Taking metronidazol (a drug used to treat bacterial and protozoan infections).

Taking cimetidin (used to treat excess stomach acidity).

Ovex Suspension: this pack provides 6 x 5ml treatments of 100mg Mebendazole for the treatment of threadworms. Banana flavoured.

Suitable for

Adults and children over 2 years.

Age Restriction

You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.

How to use

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

For oral administration.

The treatment is a single 5ml dose per person.

Shake well before use.

Adults and children over 2 years: Take one 5ml dose only. The suspension can be dispensed in the measuring cup provided.

Not recommended in children under 2 years.

A single dose of this medicine will kill threadworms. However, it may not destroy their eggs, which can cause re-infection and infect other people. It is therefore strongly recommended that all members of the family (except pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under two) are treated at the same time and that precautions are taken to prevent re-infection.

In case of re-infection, a second dose can be taken after two weeks.
