About us

This website is operated by The Chemist Online, 210 Bury New Road, Whitefield, Manchester M45 6GG. [legal entity name and company number]. These terms apply to every order placed through the site; placing an order means you accept them.

Ordering

  • You must be 18 or over to order from this site.
  • Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch your items — until then we may decline or cancel any order with a full refund.
  • All prices include VAT where applicable. If a pricing error is obvious, we may cancel affected orders and refund you.
  • Products must only be used as directed on the label and patient information leaflet.

Pharmacy medicines

Pharmacy-only (P) medicines require you to complete a short health questionnaire at checkout. By submitting it you confirm your answers are true, complete, and about the person who will use the medicine.

  • Our pharmacy team reviews every pharmacy-medicine order and may contact you before dispatch.
  • We may decline to supply a medicine where it would not be safe or appropriate; declined items are refunded in full.
  • We may limit quantities in line with safe supply practice.
  • Giving false answers to obtain a medicine puts your health at risk and is grounds for cancelling the order and the account.

Delivery, returns and refunds

Delivery costs and timelines are described on our delivery page. Returns and refunds, including the medicines exemption, are described in our returns policy. Both form part of these terms.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. The site and its content are provided for general information and are not a substitute for professional medical advice — speak to a pharmacist, your GP or NHS 111 if you are unsure whether a product is right for you.

General

  • We may update these terms from time to time; the version published when you order applies to that order.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
  • Complaints we can't resolve about pharmacy services can be raised with the General Pharmaceutical Council. [confirm complaints wording]
